Day +3

Not alot of news - which is probably a good thing. Eric is tired and has no appetite - just feeling overall blah....

Although he hasn't had a fever in over a week, the team continues to monitor him carefully for any signs of infection. So far, nothing. A tiny spot on Friday's chest xray won him a CT that he'll have sometime over the weekend when there is an open space in the schedule.

Shelley and Dave's 'at home' reception was last night and it was lovely. The snow did change our plans and Cor and I ended up staying overnight in Belleville. And that ends the months (years?) of wedding planning and weeks of celebrations!

Thanks again for your comments, emails, prayers and warm thoughts as we wait for these cells to do the trick.

Hi Kathy,

When it comes to transplants, no news is indeed good news. So glad things are pretty dull and moving along nicely.

Looking forward to reading about Eric's positive reports. Here's to an stress free transplantation and clean scans!!!!

Sending love your way. :)

I agree with Duane - no news is very much good news :0)

I'm just glad that Eric is nowhere around this house which is FULL of spots due to a local outbreak of chicken pox :0(

Wishing those cells the good sense to engraft quickly and fully.......love to all......Vx

Hey Kathy,

Your daughter's beautiful. Looks like those months (years) of planning were worth it. I'm so glad you were able to enjoy.

Please let Eric know I'm thinking about him.

Dear Kathy,
I just found out all that you and Eric have been going through again. My heart breaks for all the fighting you must do. I wish I had some words of wisdom or some quote (I'm sure to come up with some). You are in my thoughts and in in my prayers. Please let me know if there is anything I can do for any of you.
It was so nice to see you again, and Shelley too. You have a stunningly beautiful daughter, such a sweetheart too. You must be proud of her. I will take you up sometime hopefully soon to bring the girls to visit you. You are truly wonderful.
I am so very grateful as well that Eric's donor has come through again. The world is full of some wonderful people, that gives me hope.
Again you are all in my thoughts and prayers and I am here if you need me.
Love,
Kathryn

Like Duane said,

No news is good news. But, we're here to listen to any news, you've got on that son of yours.

And, we wait with you Kathy, as these cells start movin' along. And working.

PS - A canada hodge-get together, I think should definitely be in store this summer. I'd be there in a second.

Sending Love,

B
